          In September 2007, The First Church Of God In Mason, Ohio is privileged to be a 'Host Site' for Angel Food Ministries. Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief to communities throughout the United States.

          Who qualifies?

Everyone, there are no applications or qualifications to order Angel Food.

          Where does the food come from?

Our food is restaurant grade meats, frozen vegetables, fruits, dairy products, etc. which we acquire through our involvement with only the best producers/vendors of high quality, name brand foods. Never seconds or day old type products are involved.

          Can we purchase more than one unit or special?

Yes, you can purchase as many regular units as you would like. To purchase a special box you must first order a regular unit.

          Where do I pay and pick up my food?

We have host sites all over the United States. Click on our web site above to locate a local participant. The Mason First Church Of God is a local participate. The contact person for our program is Brook Combs - Phone (513) 899-3908. Please call her after 6:00 P.M.

          How does my church become a host site?

You may call in to our offices at 1-888-819-3745 or click on our web site above to request more information. Fill out the form and submit it. We will then send you a package in the mail with information you will need to apply.

          What if there is not a host site in my area?

Angel Food Ministries is growing rapidly. We hope to soon be able to serve the entire U.S.A. Please contact our offices and speak with our Marketing Department for further details.

          HOST SITES :

          What does it cost my church to sign up to become a host site?

There is a one time $50 application fee which covers all of your training materials. If for some reason your church is not approved you will be refunded this fee. Once you become a host site Angel Food Ministries donates $1 per regular unit sold to the host churches benevolent fund. Since its inception, Angel Food Ministries has contributed over $12 million into host benevolence funds.

          How long after applying until we are able to order?

You must receive a Start Up Package from Angel Food Corporate before you can place your first order.

          How can our church get direct delivery?

It depends on many things. location, cost etc. Please contact our Logistics Department for more information.

          How many volunteers will we need?

You will need about 1 volunteer for every 10 to 12 units.

          What are we to do in case we have breakage or shortages?

Angel Food Ministries adds an extra unit which is called a PJ add on to every order of 50 units purchased. The extra unit is to cover any shortages or damaged items that may occur during shipment. There are 17 to 18 items per unit and all items can be used to cover any shortages.

          Our First Church Of God Local Food Pantry :

          Sister Edith Miller is asking the church family to stock up our Food Pantry with "Personal Hygiene Items". Anything that you can bring will help less fortunate people in our community. You may feel free to bring in a single item or if you feel lead to bring in a case of a particular item. It would be nice to see the church be creative in this great cause by bringing in a variety of the items listed below. This way will we not have an over abundance of any single items.

* Urgent Items Needed * - We need some specialty food items immediately. Things that everyone would enjoy eating with their own families like: oatmeal, dry cereals, pastas (please include a jar of your favorite brand of spaghetti sauce too), cake mixes (please include the jar of icing to go with the cake mixes), any staple food products that you think would be appropriate for the occasion.

          Here are a few suggested items that you may want to consider donating: paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, bath soap, tooth brushes, toothpaste, dental floss, fixadent, polygrip, deodorant, shampoo, Kleenex, sanitary napkins, depends, diapers, wet ones, ivory soap (for babies), baby powder, baby lotion, combs, hair brushes, laundry soap, dryer sheets.
